Getting Ready for Algebra 1 and 2
Description

This Virtual course is designed for rising Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 students and will provide coverage of the fundamental skills and prerequisites needed to begin these courses. Students who enroll will have an opportunity to review basic math skills, explore and practice Algebra concepts, and gain the knowledge and confidence needed to have a strong start for the upcoming school year.

Every class will follow a similar outline. We will start with a brief warm-up. These warm-ups are designed to get your child thinking about Algebra Concepts. After the warm-up, the topic will be introduced. The class will follow an "I do, We do, You do" format. This means, I will review the first few examples. Then we will complete a few examples together and we will end with them completing examples independently. After the independent work the students and I will complete an informal assessment to solidify what has been reviewed during class.
